Student Site Council Information
A School Site Council is a committee that all schools are required to have. The
role of the council is to advise the principal on curriculum and budget issues.
Members of the site council have a voice in how certain funds are spent The
School Site Council is made up of an equal number of parents and school
personnel. There are five parents on the committee. The parents are selected
by parents and the school personnel are selected by school personnel. Each
year we have either 2 or 3 openings for parents to serve on the council. This
year we have 3 openings. The parents are selected for a two year term. The
Site Council meets once a month for an hour.
