Yuba City Education Foundation helps kids overcome barriers to learning through providing college scholarships, mini-grants for teachers, and a problem solving fund.

The Yuba City Education Foundation is a community-based, non-profit organization that began in March of 1999.

The Yuba City Education Foundation (YCEF) is a community-based, non-profit education foundation whose mission is to support the education of students in the Yuba City Unified School District. Established in 1999, the Yuba City Education Foundation (YCEF) has successfully brought businesses and individuals into partnership with district staff to assure student success and started new programs enhancing the learning environment, making education more relevant and meaningful to students.

Mini-grants have helped to fund start-up programs such as the River Valley High School Greenhouse and the Gray Avenue mural project that brought math into every part of the campus. The Foundation supports the Parent University lecture series as well as offering scholarships to graduating seniors and alumna of Yuba City Unified School District. The Foundation also funds a Problem-solving Fund that helps students overcome barriers to learning by assisting with basic needs.

The Foundation funds its efforts through one fundraiser a year. The fundraiser for 2012 will be the inaugural Heart for Kids fun run/walk promoting fun physical activity for all.

Once again, the Yuba City Education Foundation is proud to be to offer our annual scholarships to Yuba City Unified graduates.  This year we are thrilled to offer up to $10,000 in scholarship money to local students who wish to continue their educations after high school. These scholarships are available to any student, past or present, who has graduated from a Yuba City school and intends to pursue a post-secondary education via college or university, community college, career tech training, or other advanced learning after high school.  For more information click on the Scholarship Application graphic below.
