Enrollment Window now open for inter-district transfers
Students from outside the District are invited to submit an enrollment request from
March 16, 2010 through May 14, 2010. Transfers must be filed each year. Click here for Press Release
Barry School Student Council has provided this information on theirfundraising nights. Every second Monday at Straw Hat (Bogue Road location) any purchase made that day when Barry School is mentioned the ASB will get 20% of the purchases. The dates are Dec 14th, Jan 11th, Feb 8th, March 8th, April 12th, May 10th, and June 14th. Barry ASB thanks you in advance for your support. Any questions, please contact Paul Basi at Barry School.
The Barry School Parent Club is involved in many of the activities at Barry School. The Fall Carnival, Spaghetti Dinner, and the Ice Cream Social are just a few of the events sponsored by the Parent Club. The decisions made by this organization are made by the Parent Club Board of Directors. The Parent Club Board is looking for parents who would like to serve on that board for next year. The term for each board member is one year.
If you are interested in getting involved, please let your child’s teacher know, or contact our office and we will connect you with a Parent Club Board member. The Parent Club Board members are planning to have a table set up at the Ice Cream Social to answer any questions you may have about the board or any Parent Club activities. The activities that the Barry School Parent Club sponsor are such a large part of what makes Barry School special, and we want those traditions to continue. It can only continue with the help of the parents. |
The Barry School 8th Grade class will be sponsoring a dance for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students on Thursday, April 1st. The theme for the dance will "1980's". The dance will begin at 6:00 P.M. and end at 8:00 P.M. All students attending the dance need to be picked up by 8:00 P.M. The dance will be held in the multipurpose room. It will be Barry students only. No other students will be allowed to participate. Parents under the direction of the Principal/Assistant Principal will supervise the dance. Once your child enters, he/she will not be allowed to leave until the dance is over and he/she is picked up. You are welcome and encouraged to drop in at any time. Students are expected to conduct themselves like ladies and gentlemen at all times. We would like your child to dress accordingly for the dance. All school rules and the discipline plan are in effect during dances. If any rule is broken, you may be called to picked up your child early. A Disk Jockey has been contacted to provide music. Tickets will be on pre-sale in the quad Tuesday (3/30), Wednesday (3/31, Thursday (4/1)for $4.00. Tickets will be sold at the door that evening for $5.00. Ticket and Permission slip are both needed to enter the dance. We will be selling:
