Bridge Street School Receives Grant from Target Bridge Street Elementary is proud to announce that we have been chosen to receive the Books for Schools Award from Target. This grant will put $500.00 in new books in the Bridge Street School Library. Target has teamed up with First Book, a nonprofit organization dedicated to putting new books into the hands of students across the country. This grant is part of ongoing efforts by Target to strengthen families and communities throughout the country. Since 1946, Target has given 5 percent of its income to communities. Today, that giving equals more than $3 million every week. “At Target, our local grants are making a difference in communities across the country,” said Laysha Ward, President, Community Relations, Target. “We’re proud to partner with First Book as part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen communities where our guests and team members live and work.”Calling in for an Ill Child Remember we have a health clinic every Tuesday morning here at Bridge. You can bring in your child to be seen by a doctor. When calling in for a child's illness, please make sure you let us know if the child is running a fever and/or exhibits flu-like symptoms.
